FAQ

  • I've never done BJJ. Can I join?

Yes — most of our students started with zero experience. Your first class is free, and the coach will pair you with a suitable partner and guide you through everything step by step.

  • What should I wear to my first class?

Comfortable sportswear — a t-shirt and shorts or leggings without zippers or pockets. You don't need a gi for the trial; if you decide to continue, we'll help you choose one. Bring a bottle of water.

  • When should I arrive?

Come 15 minutes before class starts so you have time to change and meet the coach.

  • Is jiu jitsu safe for kids?

Yes. Kids' classes have no strikes — jiu jitsu is grappling only — and every session is supervised by the coach. Parents are welcome to watch the class.

  • How fit do I need to be?

You don't need any special fitness to start. Training itself will build your strength, flexibility and endurance step by step.

  • What's the difference between Gi and No-Gi?

Gi is training in the traditional kimono with grips on the fabric; No-Gi is in a rash guard and shorts, at a faster pace. Beginners are welcome at both — try each and see what you enjoy.
